The Law on Talent Agencies
Under California law, a talent agent is not legally able to accept fees/enforce a fee agreement for booking models and performers within California unless the agent is licensed and bonded in California. It does not matter in which state the agency’s office is located; unless the business is licensed and bonded in California, it cannot enforce fee agreements for jobs that took place in California.
Shy Love’s business resides in California, and The VIP Connect operates within the state, booking models and performers for jobs in California.
However, according to the state of California, The VIP Connect is not a licensed talent agency in the state, and Shy is therefore is not able to legally collect fees.
Perhaps that’s something the people on her roster should keep in mind. That also means all of her contracts aren’t valid.
Shy Love loves to brag about how great things are going. But are they really? In reality she is losing talent and employees left and right. Most recently, Darcie Dolce left The VIP Connect, running as fast as she can to LA Direct.
